WABE® SAND FILTER
A process for the continuous filtration of liquids in the downstream purification stage to
filter out the remaining small and minute solids.
The dirty water flows evenly horizontal through a sand bed covering the
entire height and width of the filter chamber, and the grains of which are
increasingly finer. At the same time, the sand is continuously removed from the
lower end of the reaction chamber and fed to the sand washer located at the
upper end. There the sand is freed from the attached dirt particles and returned
to the purification process where physical principles cause it to again find its
place in the given graduation from larger to smaller grain size. Both processes
together bring about a particularly high level of purification in the entire system.
It is used for the treatment of process water, wastewater and drinking water.
