SEDIMENTATION

Sinking behaviour of flakes due to the gravity is used during sedimentation.

The flakes generated in a previous treatment step sediments at the bottom of a sedimentation tank. From here, the settled sludge is taken for further treatment or the plant is deprived of disposal.
